There is one less option for drivers heading east in Montreal.
The Greene Ave. entrance to the Ville Marie Expressway permanently closed Thursday morning.
Transport Quebec also closed Selby St., a short road which runs underneath the elevated highway.
For the next few days crews from Gaz Metro will replace a gas line that runs on Greene Ave. between Dorchester Blvd. and St. Antoine St.
When that's done, Greene Ave. will re-open, but will be a one-way street north from St. Antoine St. until Sept. 3.
The onramp itself will only be demolished starting Sept. 4
